For as long as I can remember I have been a crafter - and I crafted everything and anything. My family and friends have every gift imaginable...some great and some...not so great!!! I started stamping about 12 years ago....when I was a Girl Scout leader and another Leader introduced me to stamping by creating some invitations we were making for a Leader Banquet...I was hooked! I have since moved onto SU - my favorite - Close To Your Heart - a stamp club I belong to and just recently - The Old Island Stamp Company. I am a die hard for wooden stamps but am adapting to clings!!! They pose quite a challenge for me!
My oldest daughter, Sara Leigh is my upline for Stampin Up! She's so talented - I sometimes wonder where she gets her talent - check out her blog (www.perfectsentimentsINK.typepad.com) she is downright inspiring!
I have four children and two step children so my DH and I have a blended family of 6 kids and 11 grandchildren- what a blessing. You can imagine what Christmas is like at our house!
Here is a card I made
while at Sara's house last fall- I really enjoy the color combo...pumpkin spice, garden green, ruby red and summer sun. The stamps are from Michael's (in the clearance bin of course!) and the technique is ghosting - so easy and stunning results! The phrase stamped on vellum is from SU's Friendship Flowers. The buckle from SU's Hodge Podge and dark green hemp!
Time to go create - I am so behind on my RAKs - I belong to Technique Junkies and haven't been able to participate very much since the beginning of April due to a broken hand - only 11 more days and the cast comes off - Praise God!!
Until then...have a wonderful night and God Bless!
